Dear OCA Members,

It's time for us to begin the election process for the 2027-2028 OCA President-Elect.

Are you, or someone you know, interested in serving as OCA's next President-Elect? Identifying and developing strong leaders is essential to ensuring the continued success, stability, and vitality of our organization. We encourage you to nominate qualified candidates, including yourself or a respected colleague, who are passionate about advancing OCA's mission and serving our members.

The qualifications of the President-Elect are as follows: 

• Completed, or is in the process of completing, the OCA Leadership Certification Program prior to July 1 as the term begins
• Maintains a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential 
• Professional Member of OCA and ACA 
• At least 2 to 3 years of OCA leadership experience
• Good standing with OCSWMFT board

The incoming President-Elect will follow this 3-year cycle:

1. President-Elect: July 1, 2027-June 30, 2028
2. President: July 1, 2028-June 30, 2029
3. Past-President: July 1, 2029-June 30, 2030

A description of the duties for our 3-year Presidential cycle can be found in our OCA Bylaws (pgs. 7-8) and OCA Operating Procedures (pgs. 4-5). Please note that the President-Elect and President cannot concurrently serve as an elected officer of an OCA/ACA Division or OCA/ACA Chapter.

To support a smooth leadership transition, the elected candidate will have the opportunity to begin shadowing current leadership immediately following the election.

Please complete this form to nominate an OCA member who you believe qualifies to fulfill the President-Elect role by Friday, January 15th. Self-nominations are welcome. Only current OCA members are eligible to submit nominations.
