Mental Health Therapist

Columbus Therapy and Hypnosis is looking for a part time therapist to work both in person and via telehealth. In person sessions will be held at our Upper Arlington office. We are a cash-only practice and therapists will receive a percentage of the amount billed based on license level and experience. 

Job Duties Include:

• Plan and conduct therapy sessions using multiple therapy models.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date client records
• Conform to a high standard of ethics
• Return client calls and emails in a timely fashion
• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment
• Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy
• Assess clients' mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members
• Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on best practices, clinical experience and knowledge
• Conduct initial family, couple or individual assessments and refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary

Qualifications for Mental Health Therapist

• Experience with providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services to a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood
• Valid license as an MFT, SW or LPC
• Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency
• Ability to work as a team member and cooperatively
• Superb organizational skills
• Ability to guide, direct, or influence people
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled persons and their families
