    Linden Anti-Violence Team (2 Vacancies)

    Provides violence intervention services to at risk individuals in the Linden Community. Promotes community resilience and linkages to services. The Violence Interrupter develops strong relationships and mediates issues and conflicts with the goal of stopping escalation. He/she must be comfortable when and where violence is likely to erupt, and must have and maintain the confidence of those most at risk for violence.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Resides within and has in-depth knowledge of Linden focus area is preferred. Experience working with as-risk youth and adults. Able to walk several blocks or more on a regular basis. Excellent communication skills. Experience or training in crisis intervention and anti-violence. Conflict resolution Strong communication/ interpersonal skills preferred. The ability to work with people from different backgrounds and experience with community outreach and community engagement preferred.

    SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Ideal candidate is someone very close to the Linden Community with the ability to communicate effectively and is able to gain the trust of the highest risk individuals.
