Program Description:

The intersection of ADHD and trauma in counseling settings is becoming more widely recognized in the mental health field. Presenters will explore the unique features of ADHD and trauma as it presents in counseling settings. Attendees will learn how to integrate trauma-informed, neurodiversity-oriented counseling interventions when working with this population. Attendees will also learn how to facilitate a collaborative treatment approach, combining counseling with ADHD coaching. Attendees can anticipate an interactive session with creative and innovative strategies counselors can implement across settings (clinical and school), which includes practical tools and resources.

School and clinical counselors, students, and counselor educators will gain a broader understanding about the scope and impact of the intersection of ADHD and trauma.
