Light After Loss PostVention Convention

A unique, live hybrid event dedicated to assisting mental health clinicians to appropriately identify trauma and grief in and provide therapeutic support to suicide loss survivors.

Time: 9am-5pm
Location: Kent State University at Stark Conference Center
5 CE hours approved for Ohio counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists

The PostVention Convention is open to licensed mental health clinicians, students, advocates, and community members interested in learning more about supporting those that have lost someone to suicide.  Onsite attendees will be provided with lunch, access to a resource fair, and able to network with other attendees and speakers.

Costs:

$50 for CE’s OR Donation of your choice to Light After Loss in lieu of a registration fee

Registration for either in-person or virtual attendance is required.  Registration will take approximately 10 minutes.

Registration for in-person attendance will close Monday August 1st and for virtual attendance on Friday August 5th.

Light After Loss is a trauma focused support system for survivors of suicide loss providing hope for healing through education, resources, and support services surrounding the grief and trauma of losing someone to suicide. Located at the Hope and Healing Center (HHC) in Canton, Ohio, we offer free support groups for youth and adults, reading groups, classes and events, Survivor Sacks full of resources and supportive materials, eMotion trauma-focused yoga, mindful meditation, therapeutic drumming, private yoga sessions, expressive arts and CE education events.
