Anxiety, Depression, and Substance Abuse, Oh My!

  • 08 Oct 2021
  • 9:00 AM - 12:15 PM
  • online

This past school year was hard. For everyone.

Since COVID-19 began, 80% of girls feel more lonely or isolated, and 58% are uncertain or scared for their futures. When feeling disconnected, girls can become increasingly withdrawn, depressed, or anxious. They are four times more likely than their male peers to experience mental health issues. Girls are at risk for negative outcomes simply because they are female.

As the leading girl-serving organization providing research, programming, and education on girls, Ruling Our eXperiences (ROX) is teaming-up with licensed social worker and chemical dependency counselor Jennifer Haywood, LISW-S, LICDC-CS, to present best practices for engaging girls in mental health & substance use treatment. Save your seat today for this dynamic presentation!

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8 from 9:00 AM - 12:15 PM on Zoom Meeting

This course is approved for 3.0 hours of continuing education by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board. The $48 course fee includes the interactive workshop, CEU Certificate, and access to course handouts. And, your contribution supports our evidence-based empowerment programming for 5th-12th grade girls. Thank you!
