Throughout the course of this 90-minute webinar attendees will explore common mistakes of therapists when working alongside queer and trans* people of color (QTPOC), including maintaining a neutrality toward microaggressions and systemic oppression as well as utilizing hetero- and cisnormative language. Issues related to the use of prosthetics and medical trauma as it pertains to these populations will be discussed as well. Attendees will become familiarized with various potential options for prosthetic devices for trans* and non-binary individuals. Lastly, discussion will be had and resources will be shared about increasing inclusivity in intake forms and how to create a welcoming environment.
