Effective Letter Writing for Gender-Affirming Procedures

Many trans and non-binary folks need gender-affirming surgeries or procedures, but find it difficult to navigate the bureaucracy between themselves and the care they need. For providers who want to be affirming but aren’t familiar with the barriers and system in place, lack of familiarity can be an obstacle to linking trans and non-binary folks with the care they need. 
 
Clintonville Counseling & Wellness and The Equitas Health Institute are excited to present a roundtable discussion about how to most effectively write letters for patients seeking gender-affirming care. Our panelists include both providers who write these letters, as well as members of the trans and non-binary community. Please join us on April 29 at 7 pm for this important discussion. The moderator will be Ramona Peel (she/her/hers), who will also lead the Q&A session after an hour of panel discussion.
