Our keynote speaker will be Kenneth Pargament, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology at Bowling Green State University. He has published extensively on the role of spirituality and religion in coping with trauma. A key figure in the movement toward a biopsychosociospiritual approach to healthcare, Dr. Pargament has sought to bridge the gap between psychological conceptions of religion and the role of religion and spirituality in the life of the individual and greater community.

The Proposal Process is easy as 1-2-3:

2. Submit proposal by 11:59 February 10, 2020. You will be notified of acceptance/rejection by February 24/ 2020. 

3. If accepted, register for the conference by April 2, 2020. 

All blinded proposals will be peer-reviewed by at least 2 ASERVIC proposal reviewers.

Keynote:

Kenneth Pargament, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology at Bowling Green State University and has published extensively on the role of spirituality and religion in coping with trauma. A key figure in the movement toward a biopsychosociospiritual approach to healthcare, Dr. Pargament has sought to bridge the gap between psychological conceptions of religion and the role of religion and spirituality in the life of the individual and greater community. He is a recipient of the William James Award for excellence in research in psychology of religion and has appeared on CBS News, National Public Radio, and an HBO documentary on faith and healing. Author of the books, Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy: Understanding and Addressing the Sacred and The Psychology of Religion and Coping: Theory, Research, Practice, Dr. Pargament will discuss ways to find the Sacred in the midst of trauma in this year's keynote address.

Conference Structure:

Full Conference: Saturday August 1, 2020 and Sunday August 2, 2020

Awards Luncheon:

Luncheon will be held Sunday 8/2/19. **All full conference registrations (except on-site registrations) include lunch.** Other registrants may purchase a separate lunch ticket. On-site lunch purchases will be available contingent upon available seats.

CE Information:

ASERVIC members who register for the conference (either one day or full registration) will receive applicable CE credits as part of their registration fee. Non-ASERVIC members will need to purchase CE credits separately when registering on Eventbrite or on-site at the conference.

Refund Policy:
