Mahoning County Juvenile Court and Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board are pleased to announce the How Being Trauma-Informed Improves Justice System Responses seminar will take place November 15, 2019 at The Holiday Inn in Boardman, Ohio.   MORE INFO

Given the high prevalence of trauma exposure among justice involved individuals, knowledge of trauma and its impact is essential for professionals working with this population across professional disciplines. This aides in ensuring that trauma-informed responses are utilized and that re-traumatization is avoided.   

Continuing education credits will be offered. CPEs for social workers and counselors have been approved. CLEs for attorneys, CEs for prevention specialists and chemical dependency professionals, and TCHs for teachers have been submitted.
