    Beech Brook, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier behavioral agencies, is currently hiring a Masters DegreeLicensed clinician for our Early Childhood program serving children ages 0 to 6. This position will provide childspecific technical assistance consultation in day care settings to prevent expulsions due to behavior. Thisposition will provide family focused therapy and consultation in the home/community. The candidate should befamiliar with common childhood diagnosis (such as Adjustment, Behavior, Mood and Anxiety Disorders)behavioral modification and management techniques.

    Essential Responsibilities (others may be assigned):

    Provide child care center based services to approximately 40 children/year

    Conduct classroom observations, develop care plans to assist teachers and participate in transitionmeetings for children moving in to kindergarten.

    Develop child specific strategies to modify behavior and assist teacher with implementing in classroomsetting.

    Refer, Link and Advocate for families-internal and external services

    Complete daily progress notes and other documentation within standard timeframes

    Partner with both internal and external service providers in implementing and evaluating client/familyprogress

    Develop effective relationships in order to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team

    Provide home based Consultation and/or Therapy to at risk families with children ages 0-6 who presentwith/without mental health diagnoses

    Conduct a thorough mental health assessment, including diagnoses and treatment plans

    Provide monthly/bimonthly Mental Health Classroom Consultations for StepForward child care sites

    Provide trainings child care providers addressing social/emotional needs in the classroom.

    Education and Licensure requirements:

    Masters Degree

    LSW , LPC

    Qualifications:

    Experience working with at risk children ages 0-6yrs and their families

    Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care

    An ability to successfully engage families of diverse cultures/communities

    Skilled in using computer software applications such as Microsoft Office

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a full caseload

    Ability to work within a team approach

    Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and must have established internet access

    Must have a valid OH driver’s license with no more than 5 points and 24/7 availability.

    Knowledge of the DECA, DC 0-5, DSM 5, 1 or more years experience working with early childhoodpopulations

    Knowledge of Early Childhood and family community resources

    Experience with electronic medical records documentation such as progress notes, treatment plans andother necessary clinical documentation.
