    POSITION:Screener/Crisis Interventionist/Intake Therapist (p.t.)
    Up  25 hrs. per week - Mon.-Fri. -
    (normally 5 hrs . per day, 5 days per week, but schedule adjustable per supervisor/agency need/approval)
          
    OVERVIEW:
           
    Conduct telephone and face-to-face screening duties, including assessing services needs and scheduling initial or reopen appointments.  Complete all required clinical documentation within Center guidelines, (e.g., CSIs guidelines.  Timely and accurate completion of all non-clinical reports.  Provide telephone assistance and /or face-to-face crisis intervention on site or in community for providers, referral sources, law enforcement, hospitals, individuals and families, completing appropriate planning/actions.  If requested or otherwise indicated, assist other staff during client crisis.  Facilitate psychiatric hospitalizations with clients, referral sources, and inpatient programs.   Perform computer data entry.  Conduct face-to-face crisis assessments at the Center or in hospitals, jails, police stations, and other secured community settings for adults and children experiencing a mental health crisis.  Make recommendations for referral sources regarding client disposition/resolution of mental health crisis.  Meet Crisis Intervention and Diagnostic Assessment productivity expectations (billable units on a fiscal basis.)  Complete assessments within Center guidelines.  Regular attendance and adherence to work schedule.           


    REQUIREMENTS:   

    Minimum: The position requires a minimum of two years experience working in mental health assessment, case management, or crisis intervention and must be at minimum licensed in Ohio as an LSW, PC, or RN, with the ability to conduct diagnostic assessments under the supervision of an independently credentialed mental health professional.  Must maintain and provide  verification of such licensure.  Ability to perform computer dtata entry with accuracy required.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word) preferred. Reliable transportation with vehicle insurance coverage of $100,000,$300,00,$100,000 limits.  Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Techniques (CPR), First Aid & AED training, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification and HIPAA training required.  Subject to criminal background, drug screen, and DMV clearances.

    Preferred Educ./License: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.  Independent license in social work or counseling with supervisory endorsement in the State of Ohio (PCC-S, LISW-S, or Psychologist). 


    Knowledge of community resources, possession of outstanding assessment and oral and written communication skills.  Well developed judgment and discretion regarding case decisions are required, as well as willingness to seek consultation and work closely with other staff/professionals when there is a need.  The ability to work with children and adults and to deal effectively with the public and agency staff in a calm and helpful demeanor.  Exhibit a  value of collaboration.
